American school lunches were nutritionally lacking, but damn were they good! The best days were pizza or burgers (we called them crater burgers.) The peanut butter brownies and pizza soup were to die for. However, being in the band, we went to competitions all over the area. We went to one high school in New Jersey where something miraculous happened. Mothers of students were not at all happy with what was being fed their children, so they made a deal with the district to take over the cafeteria. From that point forward, moms were cooking lunch. Eight-thirty at night, dressed in half my band outfit, and after carrying a heavy drum, I actually sat down to a home-cooked meal. Lasagna with a meatball on the side, garlic bread, a salad with balsamic, and a brownie. $8! I'll never forget that. It was fantastic!

The thai food is not true at all. Thai food is like rice with stir fried pork and sweet green beans.

Search for "kyushoku" and you will see how different Japanese school lunches are in the video. Japanese school lunches are basically cooked except for fruits and vegetables. This is to avoid the risk of food poisoning. At my school, all vegetables were also cooked through.

Our school(south korea)is usually better than that lunch but our school is not as good as other most school in south korea.

I’m from 🇺🇸 and I graduated high school in 2021, and in my two last years in high school (11th and 12th grades), our lunch foods were changed, and we were provided with more nutritious breakfast and lunch meals. And we also had vending machines.

I'm japanese student. I will correct an error. Raw foods is not safety. Schools are provide grilled foods for all students. But,this students picture is true. (A part used translation fanction)

Many times at my school im like "i hate this! why are the portions so small!?" And now when i saw this comparison it completely changed my mind. Me and ma homies be eating at a 5 star restaurant 💀💀

As I'm Thai, when I was a student our lunch should be some Fried rice, Pad Krapao Moo Sub with Rice and Fried Eeg, or some stir-fired food.

You won't find anything like this in Japanese school lunches.It's a much more delicious dish.

The American Lunch is what you get at private school. I attended both private and public school. The lunch is night and day.

That is not a typical Australian school lunch. Kids are not allowed out of school to buy from non-existant street vendors. The bring from home or buy from tuck shop (school kiosk). Typical is a cheese and vegemite or ham and cheese sandwich with an apple and a juice popper. you cant have timtams for lunch because they melt.
