WTH??? they should go on strike til they are paid better. $17 A DAY? for that bs? risking so much? it's worth much more then even $17 AN HOUR. talk about a toxic work environment. The company should provide hazmat suits and gas masks and a decent wage. they should be ashamed.
@grigorirazumovski1012 неделю назад
So i am to understand, that western world cannot give even the old gear like gasmasks to people? And we do know that the safety gear is "utilized" by destroying it.

I think some unity amongst the sulphur workers may serve them better. As it is they seem to be working as separate individuals but collectively they may be able to yield more at the resale depot. They should take turns chipping the crystals....maybe alternate days in a way where some days a miner will not inhale any smoke directly. Everybody should come together and chip in for PPE so that only people with proper masking and breathing protection are mining directly. Schedules and PPE...that should minimize exposure at the pit. Then they could take turns ascending to the top with the load up from mining area. Schedules for that too and I can see days where all a miner would do is haul crystal out by hiking up the sides. Maybe improvise shoulder pads to redistribute the pressure points of the weights to make that less taxing on the body. Transportation to the depot can also be streamlined. I see a scooter so maybe some sort of sidecar can be rigged. I just think that a relay effort amongst groups of miners should work out better than the individual two trips a day for $17. Just my observation and suggestions from the little clip I saw in this video.

All of these people are incredible. I work in the mining industries, i drill and pull core samples for the mines, I have a crew of 2 helpers that that pull the samples and other stuff after i drill it and my brand new guys start at $22 an hour with $145 of perdiem everyday. Its crazy the difference of living just by crossing an ocean.

The global economy is built on ripping off everyone below you as much as possible, until one reaches the level of "capitalist/owner." For some reason, our brains are wired to believe in notions of ownership that allow 1 person to tell hundreds of other people to work for so little while he feasts on the accumulated value they create. How are humans this stupid? We truly are little better than base animals. I look forward to our future AI or alien overlords.

ffs it cant be that hard to provide these people with safety gear and a lift system or something. If i had money i certainly would pay for it.

No the pyramids weren't made out of limestone we assume that they were coated in an outer sheath of limestone, but the pyramids themselves were made of a type of concrete... that's why they have no striations like NORMAL SANDSTONE...

So sad that these men who actually face that responsibility of supporting their families, should suffer so just becoz they have been born in a poor country - if they were born in a rich country they could be a deadbeat dad like almost every other man and live long miserable lives like all the others......

If salt is 2 to 4 dollars per ton than why did I pay $6.95 for a 3 pac??
@MetalsirenIXI 3 недели назад
Sounds like the salt miners could migidate most of the risk with a few pieces of personal gear if they could afford that. Breathers, goggles, proper boots, gloves etc.
